About Airslie
Airslie Ltd (UK) is a small privately-held medical software development company founded in February 2011 by Drs Hugh Cairns and P.N. August, who have been collaborating on nephrology, liver, and nursing database systems since 1996. In 2016 Tim Crowe joined the company as lead developer.
After initially using Filemaker™, we shifted in 2006 to MySQL/PHP apps. (Airslie was in fact one of the first UK developers to deploy open source web database systems in a major London teaching hospital.) Since 2015 Airslie has been creating Ruby on Rails apps and systems integration interfaces, chiefly using HL7 and more recently FHIR (Fast Health Interoperability Resources). We also develop UK-specific middleware such as the NHS’s new GP Connect.
Airslie is now focussing on the marketing and deployment of its Renalware 2.0 nephology database system. Renalware is currently in operation at Barts and The Royal London Hospitals, and the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
